Executive Summary
The overall political accountability and good
governance of the District
Municipality
is the responsibility of Clr R.L. Motsepe and Members of the
Mayoral Committee. As a District Mayor, Clr Motsepe ensures that
all local municipalities within its jurisdiction (Moses Kotane,
Moretele, Madibeng, Kgetleng Rivier and Rustenburg) receive the
necessary constitutional assistance.
There are eight (8) Members of the Mayoral Committee who
all have different responsibilities. The Executive Mayor is the
Chairperson.
The administration arm of the District Municipality
is headed by the Municipal Manager. The administration is arranged
into five (5) directorates namely; Economic Development,
Agriculture and Tourism; Corporate Support Services; Community
Development; Technical Services and Budget and Treasury.
