Technical Services

The key thrust of the service delivery plan is to provide integrated and programmed approach to deliver basic household services. We always strives to provide high quality sustainable and affordable people centered development services. The municipality’s Technical Services Department coordinates the provision and management of water and sanitation, roads, bridges and storm water projects and services, local economic development (LED) and electricity services.

Housing

  • Procurement of services of professional consultants
  • Coordination of consultant activities
  • Compliance with statutory requirements (EIA’s, Rezoning, Land Use Ordinance etc.)

  • Ensuring compliance with housing policy and requirements

  • Liaison and consultation with housing forums/association and committees
  • Handling general housing and related enquiries

Projects

  • This section includes the funding of projects for which applications have been received and the implementation thereof.
  • The strategic objectives of this function are to provide services including engineering and community services to address the current backlogs and shortages.
